Up and running!

We are nearly up and running at the new facility. It is essentially a soap shop only at this point as we haven't had time to move ALL our ingredients and packaging over yet. So, part of the day is spent in the old shop, part in the new... going to have to work on getting all of us in one place! LOL!

But, wow, is the space nice to have! Still working out the kinks. You know how when you move into a new home, you have to figure out how you are going to "live" in your new space to figure out where to put the pens, paper and tape in the kitchen? Or where the saran wrap is?!?! ; ) That's the stage we are in... now where is xxx??? But, slowly, we're getting there.

I'll have to post a picture (I'm really lame about it, I know! Sorry!) of the progression of Emma's Friends as seen in the size of our pots. I was looking at them today as we were making soap and it caused me to giggle to see how we've grown by that measure.

My sister, Lori (waving, "Hi Lori!") has said repeatedly to me, "you should take pictures of X" which is where we are at current stages. Still, I have none. We've moved twice now and increased our space three times in that span, but still not a photo to illustrate our growth. See, lame. And I love to take photographs, but we've just been BUSY! Good problem! LOL!

I'll work on those photos, but until next time, stay well!

in bed... not the soap, me!

Uggh. What a drag this week has been. I came down with *something* ...who knows what. At least today I can talk without coughing incessantly. I still sound like a frog, but at least I can talk (husband is thinking yesterday was better... a break from my constant chatter! ;).

So, I have been banned from the shop - from making things. No one wants a sicky making lovelies, trust me. I did sneak in to grab prepackaged items (after handwashing and all!!) for shipping out orders that have been piling up.

Tomorrow with any luck, I'll be healthy enough to mask up and get back to work. The ingredients are waiting for me... calling me in like a siren...

Of course, the shiny side of all this is I did a lot of filing! I can see my desk, wow... been a while for that! I even opened the french doors to my office, it is that incredible a difference! LOL! Must go off now to finish up my tax prep. Double yuck. Oh well, some things must be done...

Stay well everyone,
Lynn

First batch in the new facility

Well, we are half here, half there but at least we've got a batch cooking! LOL! Took our wonderful new molds and cutters from For Craft's Sake to the new location as our drums of oil arrived yesterday. Wha-hoooo!!!!

So, of course, I had to whip up something with all those drums staring at me! :D We've been out of "Pretty" for a few weeks so I made up a batch of that. It's now been put to bed... will try to snap a pict of both the soap, the new mold and in tbe background, the new digs! More to come... Soap especially, Lavender is up, as is Pear and some others which have been calling my name!

Till then, be well!
